Crew Camps

The Columbus Crew camps are tailored to children of all ages and skill level. Promoting player development through technical proficiency and fundamental tactical awareness in a caring and supportive environment, The Crew further believes in freedom of expression and provides unrestricted play as a critical part of all camps. Designed for elite and recreational players, boys and girls, ages 6 - 17, campers will be put into a challenging environment that demands good training habits and encourages the development of the youth soccer player in a fun and rewarding experience.

Columbus Crew Clinic at Crew Stadium

When: July 4, 2009
Who: Ages 6 - 14 (3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Where: Columbus Crew Stadium
Cost: $50

2009 Summer Crew Camps

COLUMBUS CREW DEVELOPMENTAL CAMP IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE SALEM ATHLETIC BOOSTERS

When: June 12-13, 2009
Who: Ages 12-18 (9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
Where: Salem, OH
Cost: $95
Description: In association with The Salem Athletic Boosters, this camp is designed for recreational and competitive soccer players. A comprehensive camp based on the Crew Curriculum, focus will be on the individual needs of the campers through the technical and tactical elements of the game. In addition, our instructors will touch on other areas of importance that will aide in their development such as nutrition and conditioning and provide the very best example of what it takes to be a quality soccer player, dependable teammate and a good citizen. There is a lunch break from 11:30am - 1:00pm. Participants are responsible for their own lunch.

Columbus Crew College Preparation Camp

When: June 22-25, 2009
Who: Grades 9 - 12 (5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Where: Obetz Training Facility
Cost: $125
Description: The Columbus Crew College Development Camp is designed for those players entering 9th grade through seniors in high school. Each camper will have the opportunity to work with college coaches from The Ohio State University, Capital University, Ohio Wesleyan University, and Ohio Dominican University. Campers will also hear from each college coach about the recruiting process and receive a college recruiting handbook to take with them after camp.

Columbus Crew Speed / Agility Camp in association with SuperKick

When: June 22-25, 2009
Who: Ages 6 - 14 (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Where: SuperKick, Powell, OH
Cost: $125
Description: Offered twice this summer and in association with SuperKick Soccer Sports and Performance, this camp will take place at their state of the art indoor fitness and training facility in Powell, OH. Each day campers will be put through speed and agility training by SuperKick followed by instruction and understanding through the Crew Curriculum of the skills needed to further the campers own development in the game of soccer by the Columbus Crew Camp Staff. In addition, our instructors will touch on other areas of importance that will aide in their development such as nutrition and conditioning and provide the very best example of what it takes to be a quality soccer player, dependable teammate and a good citizen.

Columbus Crew Developmental Camp at The Jewish Community Center

When: June 29 – July 2, 2009
Who: Ages 5-9 (9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
Where: Jewish Community Center
Cost: $125
Description: In association with The Jewish Community Center, this camp is designed for recreational and competitive soccer players. A comprehensive camp based on the Crew Curriculum, focus will be on the individual needs of the campers through the technical and tactical elements of the game. In addition, our instructors will touch on other areas of importance that will aide in their development such as nutrition and conditioning and provide the very best example of what it takes to be a quality soccer player, dependable teammate and a good citizen.

COLUMBUS CREW SKILLS CAMP IN ASSOCIATION WITH CAPITAL UNIVERSITY SOCCER

When: July 6-10, 2009
Who: Ages 6-18 (5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
Where: Capital University
Cost: $125
Description: Our skills camp will focus on various aspects of the game including dribbling, passing/receiving, shooting, and defending among others. Each camper will be put through technical and tactical skill sessions, and competitive small-sided games based on the Crew curriculum. Grouped by age and ability levels with a camper to staff ratio of 12:1, the Crew camp staff will not only focus on the development of each camper as a player, but also as a teammate and person.

COLUMBUS CREW STRIKER / GOALKEEPER CAMP

When: July 13-17, 2009
Who: Ages 10 - 18 (5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
Where: Crew Training Facility at Obetz
Cost: $125
Description: Strikers will be put through a curriculum focused on finishing, shooting from distance, creating scoring opportunities, heading towards goal and tactical movements. Goalkeepers will focus on shot stopping, saving crosses and break-a-ways, proper footwork, decision making and communication on the field. As a specialty camp, each camper will receive a player evaluation at the end of the week.
