Crew Soccer Foundation
| Mission Statement |
The Crew Soccer Foundation is the charitable arm of Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew and is dedicated to serving as a catalyst for community investment and development. Leveraging the organization's unique status as the state's – and region's – acknowledged soccer leader, the CSF works to advance the sport at all levels and enrich the overall quality of life in central Ohio and beyond, with an emphasis on developing the potential of our area's young people. |
| Referee Scholarship |
The Crew Soccer Foundation has kicked off its first annual Referee Scholarship. The scholarship will assist youngsters ages 14 to 18 who have the desire but not the means to obtain referee training, certification and a uniform. Please call (614) 447-4175 for more information. |
| GOALS for KIDS Handbook |
The Crew Soccer Foundation's GOALS for KIDS Handbook focuses on teaching life skills through soccer and our loveable mascot Crew Cat! Through interactive quizzes, activities and puzzles, the guide helps children understand more about wellness, community service, sportsmanship, leadership and scholarship. more » |
| Kicks for Kids |
The Crew Soccer Foundation presents Kicks for Kids, a partnership program providing Crew game tickets to local children's organizations. It's your opportunity to give inner-city kids, honor students and other deserving young people an unforgettable experience in the nation's first major-league stadium built specifically for soccer – one-of-a-kind Columbus Crew Stadium! more » |
| Soccer Aid |
Soccer Aid is a unique, adrenaline-loaded fund-raising program of the CSF, which capitalizes on soccer fans' passion for the sport to raise money for charity. The concept is simple: Soccer fans bid on-line at CrewSoccerFoundation.org and TheCrew.com for a chance to win official game jerseys autographed by Crew players, as well as the opportunity to experience the thrill of match day at one-of-a-kind Columbus Crew Stadium. Through its first five years, Soccer Aid has raised more than $36,000 (over $30,000 net) for the Mid-Ohio Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), which remains the program's primary beneficiary. more » | bid now » |

| U.S. Soccer Foundation Passback Program |
In partnership with Major League Soccer, the Columbus Crew and the Crew Soccer Foundation support the U.S. Soccer Foundation's Passback Program. This program offers fans the chance to donate new and gently used soccer equipment at a selected Crew game each season. The group or individual donating the most equipment receives a $200 Eurosport gift certificate. Each year the Crew Soccer Foundation designates a beneficiary to receive such donations. Last year's beneficiary was the K.I.D.S. program in Columbus (Kids Inner-City Developmental Soccer). Crew defender Jed Zayner serves as the honorary spokesman for the Crew's Passback Program efforts.
